Update from Show Secretary - 2nd May 2023


Our annual show is scheduled for Saturday 29th July  2023. There have been a few changes in the categories and classes, some removed to reflect a lack of interest in past years, and some added for fun. The following lists are provisional as we are happy to add any new ideas if you would like to suggest some new ones. We want everyone to enjoy our afternoon, adults and children, so please take a look at the categories and classes below and ‘get growing’. Entries are free for WAGA members and their families. There will be plenty of activities for all to enjoy including stalls, BBQ, raffle and our kitchen offering cakes and refreshments at excellent prices.

If you have never entered a show before, please don’t be afraid to have a go, after all, a lot is down to luck (but keep this quiet) and you have as much chance of winning as anyone! We will give you guidelines on how to choose and display your produce in the Summer edition of Plotholder. Choose what you would like to display and get growing!

Entry forms will be included in the summer edition of plotholder, or you will be able to download the file from our website shortly or from our WAGA Facebook group. Additional forms will also be available in our shops.


We have a number of tables around the gardens with various sellers as well as allotment goods for sale and the ‘Men in Sheds’. If you would like to join our sellers, please contact Sue Lipman (07712 132707), use of the table is free, but we would be grateful of a donation if your table does well.
