WAGA 2021 AGM.
Due to the significant increase in Covid-19 infection rates in our local area and the welfare of our members, we have taken the decision to CANCEL this year’s in person Annual General Meeting which was due to be held in the Main Hall at Chesswood Junior School, on Wednesday 17th October 2021.
The current WAGA committee members held a AGM meeting on Saturday 20th November 2021.
Information from this meeting has been posted below.
WAGA 2021/2022
COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Committee Members have agreed to carry over their roles for the 2021/22 year apart from Dave Tucker who's title of Special Projects (Humber Ave) has ceased as Humber Avenue Community Allotments are now self managed by their own Committee. We would like to thank Dave for all his hard work during his time on the WAGA committee.

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
This has been another strange year, with Covid 19 continuing to impose restrictions on WAGA's activities. We were forced to cancel the annual show for the second year and had no outings or social events until the Heaviest Pumpkin and BBQ event in October, which was a huge success, well worth the wait, and will probably become an annual event.
The major improvement to the West Tarring shop was another milestone in WAGA's development from which we will be benefiting for many years to come. Trading at the shops continued throughout the year with Covid-safe procedures in place, and provided a very welcome service to our members.
Our quarterly newsletter, "Plotholder" was published throughout the year and in my view was better than ever.
Our committee held meetings outdoors, when the Covid restrictions permitted such meetings, and all officers remained in place and are willing to stand for re-election, apart from the Humber Special Projects post which is no longer needed, so we remain in good hands and on behalf of all the WAGA members I would like to thank them for another year of excellent service. Particular thanks must go to Robin Chapman who was awarded the President Cup for his outstanding work on the West Tarring Shop improvement and he is now looking at improving the Chesswood shop.
We can only now be optimistic that next year will be less restrained by Covid 19 and our activities will return to near normal.
